Uber to ban rude Aussie riders

4 September 2018

Uber is taking a stand against rude riders.

An update launched by the ride-sharing giant today will mean that passengers with an Uber rating of 4.0 or below can now be removed from the app.

The average Aussie Uber rider has a rating of 4.5 or above.

Uber will warn at risk users with several notifications before they’re cut, giving them a chance to improve their behaviour and their personal rating.

Uber told Sunrise that customers who want to increase their rating should show respect to drivers and show them courtesy.

“Say hello, say goodbye. You don’t always need to be chatty, but be respectful. Don’t leave rubbish in the car and be where your pin says you’re going to be when you get picked up”
